lyrics

I wanna take a walk down to the sand
And build a castle for a home for me and all my friends.
I wanna live just like a kid again.
And fly a kite so high we'll sail the sky on summer wind.

I wanna be a kid again
Invent a world where we can hide away,
Where you and I aspired to set the world on fire.
I'm learning to be happy.

Remember summer days when we were ten.
With shaggy hair and baggy clothes in our play pretend.
I sold my baseball cards to buy guitars
and pissed off the neighbors while I fantasized that we'd be stars.

I wanna be a kid again
Invent a world where we can hide away,
Where you and I aspired to set the world on fire.
I'm learning to be happy.

I'd rather stay here in my reverie,
and put down the news and power off my TV screen.
Dim the lights and bid the moon adieu,
and live tomorrow as a chance to reconcile my youth.

I wanna be a kid again
Invent a world where we can hide away,
Where you and I aspired to set the world on fire.
I'm learning to be happy.
